Let me present to you, the scintillating list of adventurous treks:
You can enjoy the nature and greenery at Kasol and take some rest. You can start your trek right from Kasol if you want to explore things in your way. Otherwise, people usually start it from Bharsaini. Distance from Kasol to Kheerganga is around 24 Km and there is a hike in distance above sea level. Reaching Kheerganga will be tiring but once you reach the top, you’ll forget each and every pain of yours. That’s the value of view from the top. Words will come short to describe that view.
Mcleodganj- Triund Trek
Mcleodganj has a tinge of Tibetan culture that is enjoyed by tourists from all over the world. The trek starts right from Mcleodganj and runs to Triund for a 9 km journey that has a lot of beauty hidden all over. The Oak forest and Kangra valley offer a lot of scenic views whereas the last 2KM of the trek that involves vertical climb provides the adventure that can send chills through spines in cold weather. The total hike in distance above sea level turns out to be around 1100 meters that is totally worth taking up.
Tosh is a beautiful village in the lap of nature which is easily accessible by road. The distance from Kasol is around 22 Km but usually, trekkers prefer going up to Bharsaini by bus and from there you can start trekking right up to Tosh which is approx. 4 Km. The small village of Tosh has a lot to offer in the form of greenery and nature. The scarce population of the village does not matter as travellers from all over the world prefer this place full of streams and meadows.
Great Himalayan National Park(GHNP)
Lying in the laps of the Great Himalayas, reaching the Great Himalayan National Park is not as adventurous as it used to be decades back. But it is worth it even now. The best thing about reaching GHNP is that you can get there through any of the three beautiful valleys as Sainj, Parvati or Tirthan. The number of foreigners you’ll find at these valleys will amaze you. They have a wonderful knowledge of our forests at GHNP. The greenery and climate of GHNP are surely going to be a fascinating experience for you
Nag Tibba Trek
Nag Tibba is a trekker’s delight. It is the highest peak in the Nag Tibba Range of Himalayas with a height of 9915 ft. You get to see a variety of flora and fauna as you pass through the forest preceding your trek. Stunning views of Bandarpoonch peak, the Gangotri group of peaks, Kedarnath peak in the north, Doon valley and the snow peaks of Changabang is what you get as a bonus in this short weekend trek of Nag Tibba.
All the trek locations are at a long distance. You can opt for a long drive or you can go by public transport. Both have their own perks. A journey by Bus is suggested because it will help you in saving your energy that you will otherwise drain in a long drive of around 10-12 hours.
Make sure you go to these treks with all the required equipment. You must have proper trekking gears, warm clothes and first aid kits with you to avoid any inevitable circumstances.
